Part 2: Why You Need A Professional Photographer
When it comes to planning your dream wedding, costs can add up and it can be smart to budget wisely.
However when it comes to capturing your wedding day, don’t skimp on your wedding photography. Don’t ask your friend down the road who got a new camera for Christmas.
1. THERE IS MORE TO PHOTOGRAPHY THAN A CAMERA
In the same way an artist has a brush, a carpenter has a hammer and a writer has a pen, these are just tools, it’s how the person uses those tools to produce amazing creations.
You want someone who knows how to use the camera, who has the experience of taking photos in different light, different conditions, composing different shots and executing it perfectly. The camera doesn’t do this, the photographer does this.
Once the photos are taken that’s not it, there is the editing, the cutting, the creation of an album, the presets, the white balance…the list could go on. But the point is…there is more to it than just a camera.
2. AN AMATEUR MEANS MORE WORK FOR YOU.
A professional photographer will have experience capturing weddings, they will know the shots to take, they will know where to be at that right time. They’ve already looked up when the sun will set to get those perfect ‘golden hour’ shots.
They will also anticipate what will happen next, they will know the flow of the day. Your wedding day isn’t a photo shoot, it is a dynamic event with only one chance to capture those moments.
3. IT’S ALL YOU HAVE AT THE END
Once the wedding is over, the excitement shifts into waiting to see your wedding photos. A chance to relive it all again while seeing moments of the day you may have missed.
At the end of the day your dress gets put in storage, the cake is eaten and the flowers will die, decorations will be sold and balloons will be popped. This may be harsh, but the point is hiring a professional photographer isn’t a cost, it’s an investment.
